Pupils at Park High School Celebrate

Park High School was pleased to announce this morning that the school was number 1 out of 97 schools in the North of the Country in the GCSEPod Games. This is a huge success and staff and pupils alike were celebrating after working hard to achieve the rating.

Mr Jackson, Head of School said "This further demonstrates the excellent attitude and work ethic of our Year 11 students in the run up to their mock examinations. Well done Year 11, we are so proud of the way you have approached your independent studies, keep it going #it'syouryear"

GCSEPod is a tool to help pupils reach their potential whilst building their confidence across a range of subjects. GCSEPod is used to learn a new topic or help pupils to identify their weakest areas and fill their knowledge gaps. All the content on GCSEPod is filtered by the pupils' school and as such are able to login with the peace of mind that what's available online will really make a difference to their progress.

At the heart of GCSEPod are their videos. The company call them “Pods”. Each one is a highly concentrated, 3-5 minute burst of audio-visual learning and specialist subject knowledge for 20+ curriculum areas. It's written by expert subject teachers then rigorously quality assured. Narrated by professional voice-over artists and with visuals produced by an award-winning design team, every Pod is mapped to GCSE and IGCSE exam boards and the company are committed to keeping up with curriculum and technology changes.
